ETHEL EVANS

Ethel May Ekstrand Evans, age 92, passed peacefully from this life on March 2, 2015. She was born on November 30, 1922 in Los Angeles, CA, to Clara Vista Harper and Ernest Walfred Ekstrand. She married Joseph Ivan Evans on August 26, 1946 and they were sealed on November 16, 1957 in the Los Angeles LDS Temple.
She never allowed lifelong health problems to stop her from enjoying each day fully. Because of a difficult childhood, Ethel dedicated her life to encouraging others. As a teen, Ethel was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and her love for her Savior, Jesus Christ, influenced all she did. Her dearest gifts were her three children and she loved each new member of their families; they will miss her.
She is survived by her husband, Joe; children, Craig (Paula) Evans; Marsha (Don) Crenshaw; and Karen (Steve) Wood; 16 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Her family wishes to thank Paige Steele and others from Horizon Health Care, as well as the staff at Seasons of Santaquin Assisted Living, for their loving care.
